Keep facts and assumptions separate
Label each input as supplied fact, verified evidence, estimate, or unknown. Describe units and periods when using numbers. A prepared sample is a teaching fixture, not evidence about your business.
For each consequential assumption, record the test, owner, decision date, and evidence that would change your view. Revise the plan when new evidence arrives.
Financial and legal conclusions need appropriate review. A business plan, model, or deck does not guarantee demand, funding, compliance, or a business outcome.
